Paper-cutting in Hengdong County has history of more than 500 years, featuring strong characteristics of local folk culture.
The County was named "The Hometown of Paper-Cutting" in 1997, and the "Hengdong Paper-Cutting" was listed as the Hunan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2012.
