(ECNS) -- To celebrate the upcoming Tibetan New Year which falls on March 3 this year, a Tibetan Kid Costume Show was held in Lhasa, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, on Saturday.
Dressed in traditional costumes of different regions of Tibet, 30 kids got together for a group of cultural and folk activities.
They played Chinese zodiac guessing games, sang Tibetan zodiac songs, listened to Tibetan opera, made Guthuk (noodles eaten on New Year's Eve in Tibetan calendar) and made Tibetan jewelries with clay.
Teachers also taught the kids Tibetan New Year customs. In the activity, the kids performed local bonfire dance "Guozhuang" to Zhanianqin, a six-stringed fiddle. Tibetan New Year goods made of clay by them were displayed as well.
