(ECNS) -- Due to cultural history, Macao is a bridge of cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, said Zhang Zongzhen, member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
"Macao has been facilitating Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Goods imported from across the world, including those from Portuguese-speaking countries, are all exempt from tax in Hengqin. Items, including materials and components, from the Chinese Mainland also enjoy tax rebate policies here. Hengqin has the potential as an important link between China's domestic market and its international counterpart," said Zhang, also president of Goldcommon.
Great changes will be witnessed in Hengqin, where all Portuguese-speaking countries will discover big opportunities, he added.
