(ECNS) -- "The national flag and national anthem are symbols of our country. I hope all schools and patriotic teenage activities across Hong Kong would pay more attention to education about the national flag and national anthem," said Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, member of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC and Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
"We should start with young kids. It's people's most basic civic responsibility to respect the national anthem and national flag," said Fok at a joint press conference for CPPCC members on Monday.
The year 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, so we have much to celebrate, he said, adding that the national flag and national anthem are symbols of a country.
