(ECNS) -- Farmers kicked off the spring harvest at a tea garden in Fengqing County, Lincang City, south China's Yunnan Province on Tuesday.
Dressed in festival costumes, people of different ethnicities sang folk songs while skilfully picking fresh tea leaves and putting them into bamboo baskets. After withering, rolling, fermenting and drying, the fresh tea leaves would finally become a cup of mellow Yunnan black tea.
Yunnan is one of the top tea producers in China. The province has seen its tea industry maintain sustainable and rapid development, increasing output over the years.
