(ECNS) -- Miao farmers in Southwest China's Guizhou Province have been leveraging their wisdom on the unique wonder of terraced fields for over a thousand years.
After directing water into the terraced fields in April and May, farmers start plowing. It's amazing to see nature's palette perform its miracles and sprinkle those serpentine-shaped rice fields with a wide array of shades.
In addition to rice harvesting, Miao farmers allocate paddy fields for fish and duck farming, which has been listed as an important world agricultural heritage.
