(ECNS) -- Thousands of migratory birds returned to Bosten Lake in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region as the weather turns warmer.
The lake, reeds, sands, and birds form a vibrant ecological picture.
Covering an area of 1,646 square kilometers, Bosten Lake is China's largest inland freshwater lake.
It is also renowned for its position as the fishery production base in northwest China and one of the main habitats of wild birds in China.
