(ECNS) -- An NGO volunteer team from Lanzhou, Gansu Province, came to Shanghai to help the city disinfect after a 2,300-kilometer journey.
"We are the first NGO volunteer team from Lanzhouto to help Shanghai battle Covi-19. There are 22 people in our team. We arrived in the city after a journey of three days and two nights. Each of our vans is equipped with two drivers and a safety supervisor. Basically, we didn't stop in the journey," said He Xingsheng, the volunteer team leader.
"We have four tents. This one is our temporary command center where we dispatch tasks every day. And we put our equipment in this one. This tent is used to store our living and anti-pandemic materials. The last one is our drug tent, which contains disinfectant and alcohol," He said.
"This map shows our disinfection area (in Huangpu District) specified by Shanghai epidemic prevention and control authorities," he added.
