(ECNS) -- Hengshui Lake in Hebei has welcomed more than 70 species of migratory birds currently, about 100,000 in total, according to the Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve.
Species under China's first-class protection like oriental storks and green-headed diving ducks, and those under second-class protection such as whooper swans and cygnets, have all been spotted at the lake.
Brown-headed gulls have also been seen here for the first time.
