(ECNS) -- China's second large-scale neutrino experiment project, Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), is under construction at 700 meters underground in Jiangmen, Guangdong, said the Institute of High Energy Physics, China Academy of Sciences, on Tuesday.
The core experiment equipment used for detection, with a diameter of 41 meters in a 44-meter-deep pool, is under installation.
JUNO, which is designed to measure neutrino quality order, will be comparable to Japan's Hyper-Kamiokande Neutrino Detection Experiment and America's Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment after completion.
