(ECNS) -- A takeout platform has unveiled a new helmet for delivery workers to further ensure their safety.
This smart helmet is equipped with a ventilation system, Bluetooth earphone, microphone, automatic induction taillight and other components.
Its software system has a voice assistant, which can be linked to a phone to make and receive calls, and receive orders dispatched by the platform.
With such a helmet, delivery personnel don't need to operate their phones to receive orders or answer phone calls.
Meanwhile, the helmet can automatically recognize dark environments and turn on an anti-collision alert.
A total of 100,000 smart safety helmets are to be issued in pilot cities including Beijing, Suzhou and Haikou in 2022.
The platform will bear the cost, and delivery workers must wear the helmets according to relevant rules.
