(ECNS) -- Several ropeway lines have been stretched in Meixin Wine Town of Fuling, greatly reducing a two-hour journey.
The six ropeway lines connect three communities in Fuling, not only boosting sales of agricultural products in the surrounding villages, but also hastening travel.
It used to take villagers nearly two hours to walk up and down the mountains or to reach the other side of the river, but now it takes less than 10 minutes.
Villagers call it the "rural skytrain" or "rural air bus."
Nine ropeway lines, 10 kilometers long in total, have been planned, with a total investment of over 200 million yuan ($30 million).
