(ECNS) -- "China and the U.S. must take the lead in a collaborative way as partners (to combat climate change)," said Jerry Brown, the former Governor of California, at the talk show "Cultural Relativity".
"I became governor for the first time in 1975, and at that time there was a growing awareness of ecology, of the environment, of being a very important factor. I did many things working with our law makers to accelerate the purchase of zero emission vehicles, require much more efficient buildings, send a specific and a very tight standard for electrical generation, requiring it to come from renewable sources. But relative to what needs to be done, it's very little, China and the U.S. must take the lead in a collaborative way as partners," he said.
