Tourists beat summer heat in SW China's Chongqing

(ECNS) -- Chongqing has released a high-temperature warning, as the highest temperature reached up to 39 degrees Celsius.

An activity to relieve summer heat was held in the Meixin Wine Town in Fuling, Chongqing.

Citizens participated in the "Kissing Ice" challenge to welcome the "Minor Heat", one of the 24 solar terms.

Tourists also went to the mountains and forests on the outskirts for coolness. Canyon rafting at the Fairy Gorge Drift in Wulong county became a choice for them.

With a total length of 5 kilometers and a drop of 50 meters, the Fairy Gorge has eight rapids and several S-shaped roundabouts. Tourists can feel the coolness and experience the thrill and excitement of canyoning activities.

Water sports at various scenic spots also became popular among tourists. They participated in the activities such as "Melon Eating Contest".
