Chinese railway launches automatic cleaning service for trains

(ECNS) – An automatic, two-way carriage cleaning system was recently introduced by China Railway Lanzhou Group Co.,Ltd.

The system comprises automatic identification, spraying, water supply, water circulation, and robot arms.

It serves to clean both high-speed rail (HSR) and normal-speed trains. Eighteen robot arms are installed on both sides of the railway, while the gap between the arms and carriage can be adjusted. Wastewater will be discharged into the storage area, before filtration and sedimentation.

It only takes about 10 minutes to clean a train.
