(ECNS) -- Wild yaks were seen on Qiangtang grassland in Shuanghu County, Nagqu City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on Monday.
Qiangtang grassland is the habitat of wild yaks, a national first-class protected animal in China. The wild yak is called "the boat on the plateau", and its size is equivalent to that of ordinary cars.
Wild yaks frequently appear in Qiangtang grassland recently. With the strengthening of local ecological protection, the number of wild yaks is increasing in recent years.
