(ECNS) -- The first train of Mexico City's Metro Line 1 project was completed Monday at CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd.
It is the first rubber-tired metro train independently developed by a Chinese enterprise that will be exported overseas.
The train has nine cabins, runs at a maximum speed of 80km/h, and can carry 2,252 people.
With bright orange and white as the predominant colors, the train is designed with a strong Mexican vibe.
The use of new materials, new technologies, and lightweight design ensure lower energy consumption, while the signal control system enables two-way communication between the train and ground service to ensure safe operation.
