(ECNS) -- Recently, China's first self-developed vertical take-off and landing jet-propelled aircraft passed the test run in Tianjin, China.
This diesel-powered aircraft is developed by the College of Artificial Intelligence, Nankai University with a load capacity of up to 100 kilograms.
There are no rotors and external wings designed on its fuselage, but 4 to 8 small turbojet engines onboard as its power source.
Moreover, the fuselage is loaded with China's self-developed thrust vectoring system and flight control system, both of which are featuring the advantages of power, speed, and vertical take-off and landing.
In the future, this vertical take-off and landing jet-propelled aircraft is expected to be used in airborne personnel transportation, such as rescue in complex geographical environments, urban first aid, and other situations.
