The 100MW-class Redox flow batteries (RFB) variable load power station in Dalian, which has the largest power and capacity in the world, has recently come to the final stage of commissioning for synchronization and will be officially put into use in mid-October.
The RFB variable load power station in Dalian has a total investment of about 3.8 billion yuan (about 530 million U.S. dollars) and a total capacity of 200MW/800MWh. The Phase I project to be put into operation soon is 100MW/400MWh, which means a rated power of 100MWh per hour with the maximal capacity to store 400MWh electricity. That is enough electricity for 200,000 residents for a day assuming the per capita use of about 2kwh electricity per day.
