(ECNS) -- The upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has drawn much attention from overseas media. Since October 12, some foreign journalists have arrived at the press center for the congress to get prepared for the reporting.
Fatiguso Antonio, a journalist from the ANSA in Italy, expressed his great attention to the upcoming congress and the development direction of China in the future. Antonio has been in China for six years, and also very interested in China's future economic development.
Antonio also collected many books supplied by the organizing committee of the congress on the spot. Reading the books is a way to better understand the CPC, he said.
Many foreign journalists came to China for the first time. They also have their own focuses in terms of the congress.
Kiva Nelson, a journalist from New Vision, a Ugandan English-language daily, was excited to cover the event. He said that he has been looking forward to participating in this report and anticipated that the CPC could sort out more its development achievements, especially those made during the past decade, so as to better show the goals it is expected to achieve. In addition, he has been eager to know how the policies can benefit Africa's development, which is also of interest to the African people.
