Childhood sweet hearts get married after 60 years

(ECNS) -- A pair of 96-year-old childhood sweethearts who share the same birthday got married in East China's Shanghai after losing contact for over 60 years.

The old couple has known each other since they were quite young. However, Xu Guizhen gave up marrying Cao Zhenwei in her early years, because Cao had already been engaged for a long time due to his family's arrangement.

After over 60 years, the senior citizens met each other again by chance after both of their spouses had passed away for a long time.

With the help of their children, they moved into a nursing home in Shanghai.
