As the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar approaches, Yiwu, a global small commodity hub in East China's Zhejiang Province, is welcoming the peak season for the shipment of related products.
According to Yiwu Customs, in the first eight months of this year, Yiwu exported sports products worth 3.82 billion yuan and toys worth 9.66 billion yuan.
Related products include goods ranging from national flags to horns and whistles, and from footballs, jerseys and scarves, to ornaments and pillows of the World Cup trophy.
Merchants began to receive orders related to the World Cup in April and May this year. By mid-October, most of the orders had been delivered for export.
