Xiamen customs seize a black widow spider

Customs officers in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province seized a black widow spider when inspecting a batch of imported car containers on Monday.

The black widow spider's venom is highly toxic. The spider's body is black, with red marks on the underside of the abdomen.

Black widow spiders are known to be one of the most venomous spiders in the world and are very fertile.
