The Chinese Navy's hospital ship Peace Ark has started providing free health services after docking in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, following a nearly 200-hour voyage.
Among the services it provides are surgeries and diagnoses and treatment of frequently occurring diseases, according to the People's Liberation Army Navy.
Peace Ark's hospital has 111 doctors and nurses, 14 clinical departments, three auxiliary diagnostic departments, a pharmacy and a shipborne helicopter ambulance.
The Peace Ark has sailed 240,000 miles over the past 14 years, serving more than 230,000 people in over 40 countries and regions.
