An international freight train departed from Suining, Sichuan Province, and a van departed from Chengdu on Tuesday. The cargo will arrive in Laos and Myanmar respectively in a few days.
This marks the start of the new rail and sea transportation in western China, demonstrating the successful construction of the new corridor for the southbound opening-up and development of Sichuan Province. It improves the collaborative operation of various transport hubs and such as road and water transport. It also solves the problem of "adjacent but not smoothly connected" of southbound collection and distribution systems.
