Hong Kong on Sunday held an international horse race at Sha Tin Racecourse.
The event was hosted annually in mid-December by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The event was televised around the globe. The total purse for the races hit HK $110 million this year.
Forty-five horses from seven countries and regions competed for the honor in four competitions.
Due to the relaxation of epidemic prevention measures in Hong Kong, about 300 competitors from overseas participated in the event this year.
A spectacular performance by Hong Kong singer Hacken Lee and local troupe Gekko Taiko Centre delivered on the day.
