A total of 16,113 Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) certificates of origin were issued by Xiamen Customs in Xiamen, Fujian Province in the first 11 months of 2022, with a value of nearly 6.6 billion yuan.
Export enterprises will receive a tariff reduction of 66 million yuan from the import countries with the certificates, according to the Xiamen Customs on Monday.
Certificate of Origin (CO), as the proof for enterprises to enjoy zero or preferential tariff rates under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), is known as the "economic passport" in the field of international trade. At present, with RCEP certificate of origin, Chinese enterprises can enjoy import and export tariff reductions in the member countries where the RCEP has taken effect.
Since taking effect on January 1, 2022, the dividend policies of RCEP have strengthened the stability and connectivity of regional industrial and supply chains and injected momentum for business development and economic recovery in the face of the pandemic and global economic downturn.
