A Juneyao Airline plane took off from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, central China's Henan Province, for Helsinki at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday, marking the airline's official resumption of flights to Finland's capital Helsinki.
The plane will arrive 8 hours after take-off and then pick up passengers to return. The direct round-trip flights between Zhengzhou and Helsinki will operate once a week on each Wednesday.
Passenger demand for civil aviation travel has increased as China further eased anti-COVID curbs. From December 1 to December 18, Zhengzhou carried out 2,987 passenger flights and transported 320,000 passengers, according to Henan Province Airport Group Co., Ltd.
