An image captured by an infrared camera shows a leopard hunting in Taihang Mountains, central China's Henan Province. Leopards are classified as national first-class protected animals in China.
By December 22, cameras have captured 72 rare species, including leopards, forest musk deer, macaques, yellow-throated martens, golden pheasants, and koklass pheasants.
The authority has continued to improve the ecological environment in Taihang Mountains in recent years, creating a better habitat for wildlife.
