The 19th Naadam of Ice and Snow Festival kicked off on Thursday in Hulunbuir, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The traditional festival-naadam translates from Mongolian as "entertainment" or "recreation"-features horse races, wrestling matches and archery contests. It's staged twice a year-once in summer and once in winter.
In addition to experiencing the ecological ranch, tourists can also participate in a "yurt concert", a bonfire night, fireworks displays and other activities during the festival.
