A C919 large passenger aircraft, which belongs to China Eastern Airlines, landed at Meilan International Airport in Haikou on Monday as a part of the 100-hour aircraft validation flight process.
The testing process will comprehensively verify the reliability of the C919 with commercial operation in mind -- with the aim of ensuring its safety and efficiency.
The 100-hour required flight time will last until mid-February 2023 covering 10 airports in nine provinces and cities.
As China's first self-developed narrow-body jet, C919 made its maiden flight in 2017, and will come into commercial operation in spring 2023.
