12,000-metric-ton arch bridge installed in place

China Railway 17th Bureau Group Co., Ltd fully connected the Shuanggang Bridge in Quzhou city, east China's Zhejiang Province on Thursday.

Within 25 days, the 12,000-metric-ton bridge was pushed forward a distance of 245 meters by multipoint jacking, breaking the construction record of similar bridge types in China. The bridge measures 640 meters in length, 42 meters in width and 57 meters in height. The arch bridge is expected to open to traffic in July this year, according to the company.
