As the Spring Festival approaches, Yiwu International Trade Market in east China's Zhejiang Province has entered the peak season of selling goods related to the Lunar new year.
Since last October, the orders for Lunar New Year paintings, calendars and couplets have been booming. As the COVID policies eased, orders both at home and abroad have been surging.
"Chinese businessmen overseas like posting Lunar New Year paintings. We delivered the goods to them at the end of September and the beginning of October last year," Lou Baojuan, chairman of the Yiwu Lunar New Year Paintings Chamber of Commerce said, "These products have sold well in cities. Because the living standard has improved. Many families want more exquisite festive supplies."
Lou said since the COVID policy was eased, the sales volume has been surging. "Many products have been sold out. The shopping season has been thus extending to the present. We are busy with delivery every day," she added.
