'White castle' on the ocean: Aerial view of Taowan Marine Ranch in E China's Jiangsu

Taowan Marine Ranch, located in the Yellow Sea off the coast of east China's Jiangsu Province, looks like a "white castle".

It is a modern industrial complex integrating marine aquaculture, scientific research, and sightseeing.

The project of Taowan Marine Ranch was divided into three phases. With an investment of 420 million yuan (about 64 U.S. dollars), the first phase has built a multi-functional platform, artificial reef, and its ancillary facilities.

In addition to fish farming, the ranch will provide services like fishing and diving, business meetings, sightseeing, and catering, and become a real modern maritime industrial base in the future.
