Jiangxi Airlines flight RY8919 from Nanchang to Hong Kong took off from Nanchang Changbei International Airport in east China's Jiangxi Province on Thursday, marking the official resumption of regular direct flights from Nanchang to Hong Kong.
Kang Zhiyang, general manager of Jiangxi Air Co., Ltd., said this is the first time in nearly three years that passenger flights between Nanchang and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan have resumed, and it is also the first time a local airline in Jiangxi Province has opened international passenger flight routes.
At the entrance of the Departure Inspection Hall of Nanchang Changbei International Airport, the border checkpoints of Nanchang fully opened the inspection channels and guided passengers through the customs in an orderly manner. After check-in, passengers successively passed the exit inspection and waited for boarding.
The flight will be carried out every Friday and Sunday. The outbound flight number is RY8919, departing from Nanchang at 3:50 p.m. and arriving in Hong Kong at 5:20 p.m. The return flight number is RY8920, departing from Hong Kong at 6:20 p.m. and arriving in Nanchang at 7:45 p.m.
