Hundreds of camels with jockeys on their backs have competed in a series of races at minus 20 degrees Celsius in Hulun Buir City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Wearing traditional ethnic costumes, herdsmen gathered for a camel festival, including 10 km, 16 km, and 20 km races.
When the races began, jockeys urged their camels forward with whips, to the cheers and screams of the crowd.
