Cultural workers have discovered five ancient tombs, dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907), at a cemetery site in Changzhi City, north China's Shanxi Province, announced by Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology.
It is reported that a tea set, a tomb-guard beast, some clay figures, and various funerary objects were unearthed from the three tombs. The excavation is of great significance to the study of economy, culture, and funeral customs in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
