After completing customs clearance and inspection, 16 buses were delivered from the Horgos Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to Uzbekistan on Tuesday, as part of the country's order for 1,000 new energy buses from the Chinese bus makers.
The order contains 500 gas vehicles and 300 electric ones.
This is China's largest bus export order from Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan's first large-scale import of electric buses.
The vehicles will be used to improve public transport and accelerate the country's innovative transformation towards electrification.
