With the help of an exoskeleton robot, a man suffering from high-level paraplegia has managed to walk again in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Chengdu-based Center for Robotics at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China has been developing a robotic exoskeleton since 2010, a wearable robot that can be clasped on one's waist and legs to help with walking and movement.
Cheng Hong, a professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, demonstrated this wearable exoskeleton robot incorporated sensors, electronic signals, mobile computing, and other technologies.
The cutting-edge exoskeleton robots have been upgraded to the fifth generation, assisting thousands of patients in walking and rehabilitation.
