The Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is a traditional Chinese festival when families pay tribute to their deceased loved ones and ancestors. It falls on April 5 this year.
In ancient times, the tradition of sweeping tomb during Qingming inspired poets to express their sentimentality. One of the most famous festival-related poems is "The Mourning Day" by Du Mu of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
