Aerofugia, a subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, displayed its independently-developed AE200 manned aircraft (flying car) for the first time in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province on Thursday.
It is understood that AE200 is the largest pure electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft that has made its maiden flight in China. It has a wingspan of 14.5 meters. With a height of 3.5 meters and a length of 9.5 meters, the cabin can carry four passengers and one pilot. The fuselage is made of composite materials, featuring pure electric and low noise.
In the future, the aircraft can operate at a low altitude from 300 meters to 1,000 meters, and fly 200 kilometers to 300 kilometers at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It can be used for urban agglomeration intercity trips.
