Magnificent clusters of fragrant and fringe-like blossoms from an 800-year-old Chionanthus retusus, also known as the Chinese fringe tree, were seen in Lianyungang, east China's Jiangsu Province.
The tree measures 10 meters high and has a diameter of 30 centimeters.
In China, the young leaves of this tree are used as a substitute for tea and have a unique fragrance.
