The 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition kicked off Tuesday at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
The exhibition, also known as Auto Shanghai 2023, is the first A-class international auto show held in China since the country adjusted its COVID-19 response. With 13 indoor exhibition halls, it boasts an exhibition area of more than 360,000 square meters.
According to the organizer, about 1,000 enterprises from 20 countries and regions participated in the auto show, and around 1,500 vehicles were displayed.
Michael McGrory from Norway, who visited the auto show for the first time, told CNS reporter that he's engaged in charging solutions for new-energy vehicles. "It's exciting to see what's going to happen over the next three years with Artificial Intelligence," Michael said.
Paolo Cultraro, an auto parts supplier from Italy, told the reporter that although it was his first time attending the auto show, the damper corporation he founded had already entered the Chinese market a few years ago.
Running from April 18 to 27, the biennial Shanghai auto show has attracted a large number of overseas and Chinese companies.
