About 9.42 million air passenger trips were made during the five-day May Day holiday, with the daily average 4.2% higher than the same holiday period in 2019, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
The daily air passenger flow reached over 1.95 million from April 27 to April 29. Popular flight routes included Chengdu to Beijing, Guangzhou to Beijing, and Beijing to Shanghai, among others, said the administration.
This year's May Day holiday started on April 29 and ended on May 3.
