At the workshop of the Tesla Gigafactory in Shanghai, the robotic arms cooperated with each other, grabbing, assembling, and welding.
There were more than 500 robotic arms in the first-phase welding workshop of the factory, and Tesla's automation rate has reached 95 percent.
The first phase of the final assembly workshop (producing Model 3) takes an average of about 1 minute to roll off a complete car, while the second phase of the final assembly workshop (producing Model Y) takes less than 45 seconds for a car to roll off the assembly line.
As of the beginning of May, the company has set up more than 1,600 supercharging stations, more than 10,000 supercharging piles and over 700 destination charging stations on the Chinese mainland.
Established in 2019, the Tesla Gigafactory in Shanghai is the carmaker's first Gigafactory outside the United States.
