After three years, a direct passenger flight route linking Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality and Taiwan resumed on Wednesday.
The passenger flight route was operated by Air China and three round trips were scheduled to operate every week.
The first Taiwan-bound flight from Chongqing took off at 3:15 pm and was scheduled to arrive in Taipei at 6:20 pm.
While the return trip took off at 7:20 pm and arrived in Chongqing at 10:30 pm.
Chongqing is one of the major destinations for Taiwan's entrepreneurs who seek to invest in the western part of the Chinese mainland.
