South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has witnessed a cross-border travel boom, with the unleashing of the pent-up travel demand after the pandemic. Tourists flocked to Detian Waterfall in Guangxi and enjoyed the magnificent view on the China-Vietnam border.
"We drove down to have a look, enjoy the mountains and rivers and feel the natural beauty," Xu Ben, a tourist from Guizhou Province told the CNS reporter.
Detian Waterfall is the largest waterfall spanning two countries in Asia, located on the border of China and Vietnam, next to Vietnam's Ban Gioc Waterfall.
Du Tingli, a tourist from Sichuan Province, said that she deeply felt the great changes in Guangxi. "I have been here with my colleagues 12 years ago. Today, I went to Detian Waterfall and witnessed the beautiful scenery along the border," said Du.
"It used to seem that Vietnam was far away. Now we can see the people living on the border. They were riding motorcycles on the other side of the border, and we look alike in dressing," said Ms. Qu, a tourist from Zhejiang Province.
