Standing 25.4 meters tall with a diameter at breast height of 3.25 meters, a 6,200-year-old ginkgo tree is a popular tourist site at Yedi Village, north China's Shanxi Province.
Locals say it takes eight people to encircle this ancient tree. Known as the "living fossil of the plant world," Ginkgo has grown on the Earth for 345 million years since the Carboniferous Period.
