China's largest land port Manzhouli, located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on the eastern corridor of the China-Europe freight train service, has set a new record with over 10 million tonnes of import and export cargo handled in the first half of 2023, up 46.1% YoY, according to local railway authorities.
Currently, there are a maximum of 28 China-Europe freight trains passing through this land port every single day, including 8 outbound trains, breaking the historical record.
