Nanjing Civil Air Defense Office opened a total of seven air-raid shelters for residents to escape the summer heat on Tuesday in China's Jiangsu Province.
These underground havens remained cool, even when it exceeded 37 degrees Celsius outside.
Equipped with desks, chairs, drinking water and free WiFi, these shelters provided leisure areas for the public to cool off in hot weather.
It's the 12th year for the local civil air defense office opening air-raid shelters for free in summer.
